Office building’s owner Canmoor strikes deal with digital information supplier Idox which will move its 50 staff into the central business district site in May. Tony McDonough reports.
Specialist information management supplier Idox Digital has exchanged contracts with Canmoor to take 6,000 sq ft on a 10-year lease at 20 Chapel Street in Liverpool.
This latest letting follows a surge of new deals and re-gears with existing tenants at the 16-storey building since the start of 2017, resulting in 20 Chapel Street now being 85% let having been purchased with a vacancy of 40%.

Idox acquired Liverpool-based digital agency Rippleffect last year, and will occupy the front half of the seventh floor which has expansive views over the River Mersey.
John Davies, managing director of Idox Digital, said: “This will also be our regional hub for the group so the redeveloped facilities in the building will really support this.”
Sam Walker, director at Canmoor, which purchased the freehold of 20 Chapel Street for £20m in June last year, added: “It is great to see another exciting and thriving business choose 20 Chapel Street as its home and add to what is already a dynamic mix of tenants.
“Our investment into the refurbishment of the building and its facilities is paying dividends, with the spate of recent letting success demonstrating that there is an appetite for well-managed, high-quality office accommodation in the city.
“We’re delighted to welcome Idox to 20 Chapel Street as work continues on the reception enhancement works and new café.”
The office fit-out for Idox is now underway with the firm expected to move in to 20 Chapel Street in May bringing with it, 50 members of staff.
Completed in 2008, 20 Chapel Street comprises 155,000 sq ft of Grade A office space over the ground and 15 upper office floors.
