A new £21m residential development on the Liverpool waterfront has welcomed its first tenants.
Plaza 1821 is close to completion in Princes Dock, part of the £5bn Liverpool Waters development. It is the first of of three new residential towers at the site. Moda Living’s £82m, 34-storey skyscraper, the Lexington, is also close to completion.
And, it was announced in early May that Peel L&P and Your Housing Group are reviving a third scheme that had stalled. The Patagonia Place development will see 278 new apartments in a 31-storey tower.
Managed by property company Redwing, Plaza 1821 offers 105 one and two–bedroom apartments along with dedicated amenity space on the ground floor. It is named after the year Princes Dock was opened.
It is a private rental sector (PRS) development, undertaken by Peel L&P. All the apartments are for rent only. Darran Lawless, development director at Liverpool Waters part of Peel L&P, said: “It’s fantastic that the team at Redwing has been able to ensure residents are able to move into these brilliant apartments with incredible views of Liverpool’s waterfront.
“It’s a real milestone for people to begin moving in to these amazing homes at Princes Dock, demonstrating the significant progress happening across the wider Liverpool Waters scheme.

The development is managed by Redwing and built by contractors Vermont Construction Group. Fiona Coventry, executive director at Redwing, added: “Plaza 1821 is one of a number of new developments that we will bring to our customers in the near future.
