Accountancy firm BDO promotes announces 231 promotions across its North West operations including 93 in Liverpool
Accountancy firm BDO has promoted 93 people in its Liverpool office and 138 in Manchester as part of almost 2,000 promotions across the UK.
In the North West this includes the appointment of Matthew Savage as a transaction services partner and Helena Cartmell as a valuations partner.
Promotions across the UK include 24 new partners across its audit, tax, consulting, risk and outsourcing, deals and central operations business areas.
Effective from November 1, the partner promotions follow the appointment of 16 new external partners since January, taking BDO’s partnership to more than 500.
Angela Cross, regional managing partner at BDO in the North West, said: “These promotions demonstrate BDO’s investment in our people. Their talent, commitment to clients and hard work are critical to the overall success of the North West team.
“Our strength as a business comes from the impact our people deliver to their clients, to the communities we operate in, to our planet, and always through a lens of good governance.
“I look forward to seeing the careers of our people continue to develop and grow and want to congratulate the 231 new promotions.”

Of the national cohort of newly promoted partners, more than a third are based in regions outside of London and 40% are female.
This supports BDO’s commitment of achieving a 30% female partnership by the end of 2030 as a signatory of the HM Treasury’s Women in Finance Charter.
