Building surveyor and project management firm, ACTUA Chartered Surveyors is relocating to Bruntwood’s Cotton Exchange building in Liverpool.

After being instructed on projects with some of the most well-known healthcare and education organisations in the UK, ACTUA has experienced considerable growth, resulting in the firm outgrowing its current premises.

The move from nearby 19 Old Hall Street, where the company has been based for the last two years, forms part of ACTUA’s long-term strategic business plan and will help facilitate further projected growth.

Moving to The Cotton Exchange on Bixteth Street will also see the firm’s Liverpool office space increase from 850 sq ft to 1,100 sq ft in an extensively refurbished building, on a five-year lease.

ACTUA was formed in 2011 by co-directors David Sharp and Simon Fullard. Since then, the firm has become one of the leading names in the industry across the North West, working with a number of high-profile clients including Liverpool John Moores University and Manchester’s The Christie cancer hospital.

David Sharp, said: “It was important to us that we stayed in Liverpool’s commercial business district and the facilities available at The Cotton Exchange fitted our requirements as a growing business.

“Through our strategic advice and sector specialist expertise, we’ve become renowned for our responsive and progressive approach which has given the us opportunity to work on some really interesting projects with some of the most highly recognised organisations in the North West.”

Working across the UK, ACTUA has recently been instructed on projects with Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, Warrington Hospital, Archdiocese of Liverpool and The Christie.

Tony Reed, head of sales at Bruntwood in Liverpool, added: “We have invested significantly in the Cotton Exchange in recent years and the building is now home to a range of creative and digital companies, attracted by features including a roof garden and events space.”
