IT services company adept4 is celebrating sterling results in the latest independent ‘Plimsoll Report’ which profiles the financial performance of IT Infrastructure and Managed Services companies across the UK.
The firm, which is headquartered at Daresbury Business Park, saw its contract base grow by 40% in Q1 of 2015, a rise of £80,000 per month. It has also been ranked as one of the 50 most profitable IT services companies (pre-tax) in the UK.
It achieved a pre-tax profit margin of almost 8%, for the 2013/2014 period – nearly double the industry average of 4%. The report also shows that the company achieved a gross profit margin of 67% – significantly higher than the industry average of 34%.
adept4’s strong performance follows excellent results in the fourth quarter of 2014, during which the firm saw its contract base grow by 27%. The strong growth figures come on the back of a series of new contracts with customers including a seven-figure deal with North-West based healthcare provider Baywater Healthcare, and major contracts with Merseylink, and Bibby Shipping. The company has also seen existing contracts extended and expanded.
Peter Birkett, adept4 CEO, said:
“We’ve enjoyed a very strong performance in the last 12 months and are looking forward to continuing to grow and develop our contract base. The Plimsoll Report findings show that adept4 is performing very well against its counterparts in the industry and we’re delighted to see the business ranking so highly, particularly in the profitability categories.
“We’ve always been an entrepreneurial company, and these results are in line with our broader strategy to develop and cultivate our business and our people as we position for further growth.”
As well as positive financial performance, adept4’s experienced team has continued to grow with a number of new hires and promotions over the year, with a number of strategic additions made to the team to accommodate planned future growth. The new team is playing a key role in positioning the company to pursue long-term expansion and help the business to expand without compromising on efficiency, capability or quality of service.
