Commercial agents are seeking a restaurant operator for a property in Harrington Street in Liverpool city centre.

Already home to a number of bars, Harrington Street runs between North John Street and Castle Street and is in an area that has become popular with restaurants in the past few years.

Hitchcock Wright and Partners (HWP) is marketing the 4,850 sq ft space on behalf of a private client and it comprises a basement (2,450 sq ft) and ground floor (2,400 sq ft) accommodation to let.

The upper floors of the building have recently undergone conversion in to residential use.

Highways and pavement improvements have been proposed and subject to approval by Liverpool City Council, would enhance the location and suitability for external seating.

An artist’s impression has been produced to illustrate the proposed pavement improvements and how the new restaurant occupier could make use of an outdoor seating area.

The location of the building and surrounding area benefits from high footfall from tourists, shoppers and businesses within the commercial district.

Castle Street is now a bustling food and drink quarter with recent new arrivals including Liverpool Gin Distillery, Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza and Rocket and Ruby. Established eateries include San Carlo, Veeno and Viva Brazil.

John Barker, partner at HWP, said: “This site offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced food and drink operator to join the area’s thriving restaurant scene. Internally, the property is fitted to a high standard with existing restaurant and kitchen areas, toilet facilities and cellar services.

“If approved, the potential highways improvements will also offer an attractive outside area for al fresco dining, perfect for the summer months ahead.”
