Baltic Creative CIC has announced a new creative and digital business festival that will be held in Liverpool this spring.

Bloom will take place on Wednesday, May 8, at Camp & Furnace in the Baltic Triangle district, just outside the city centre. It will offer panel discussions, Q&As and one-to-one advice from industry professionals.

Little more than 15 years ago the Baltic District was a largely empty collection of abandoned warehouses. Baltic Creative CIC helped transform it into one of the most vibrant digital and creative hubs in the UK.

Organisers of Bloom say there will be sessions on creative and digital growth, collaboration, clusters, and environmental and social responsibility.

This one-day event will focus on three key themes – creative thinking, business scaling and culture-led regeneration. It will aim to “prompt wider conversations on key topics and trends within the creative and digital space”.

Despite Liverpool city region being home to many creative and digital start-ups, businesses require guidance to scale their operations. Bloom will host conversations designed to offer support, with regional sector leaders sharing their experiences.

Attendees will also be able to access advice one-to-one with business experts and professional service consultants, as well as receive tips and insights from businesses who have experienced the same challenges and opportunities.

Lynn Haime, chief executive at Baltic Creative CIC, said: “This new event is designed to bring together the creative and digital community here in the Baltic Triangle, while also widening that community with attendees and speakers from across the North West.

“As a community, we have lots to be proud of – the thriving ecosystem we’ve built here in the Baltic over the last 15 years, the growing number of start-ups and scale-ups choosing Liverpool as their home, and the economic growth we see on the horizon.
