Baltic Market in Liverpool is celebrating its sixth birthday

Baltic Market is celebrating turning six with a five-day party, free prosecco and huge competition worth more than £600.

Since opening in 2017, Baltic Market has welcomed over 50 restaurants and more than 100 market traders, allowing small businesses, new concepts and independents to showcase their dishes to a broad audience.

Traders such as Hafla Hafla, Midnight Delivery, Little Furnace and Press Bros have resided inside the venue for years and have grown with Baltic Market, with all four traders going on to open their own stand alone venues in south Liverpool.

From Wednesday, June 28, until Sunday, July 2, Baltic Market will be hosting a five-day party to celebrate six incredible years in business.

Wednesday will see the market offering One Pound Gin. Thursday, guests can enjoy half price bottles of Prosecco. On Friday, Baltic Market will play host to Indie bangers.

On Saturday, July 1, there will be a huge disco party with a DJ and big bands, and to finish off the party, on Sunday, July 2, there will be a Back 2 Back vinyl and market.

Across the five days, Baltic Market will have a pop up BBQ from Noso; it’ll be their last service at the market so they’ll be going out with a bang, serving up South American BBQ food to bring the ultimate summer party.

And, to complete the festivities, there will be a Mr Whippy’s Ice Cream pop-up Friday & Saturday outside, run by the Baltic Market’s very own Midnight Delivery, providing the sweet treats to keep guests cool.

There will also be a selection of specials from the market traders including Christakis, Little Furnace, Spice Thai and Patterson’s Club. The Midnight Delivery will also have their limited edition Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich.

To get guests into the party spirit, Baltic Market has also announced a competition with the prize worth more than £600.

Christakis is one of the food traders at Baltic Market

Up for grabs is £200 to spend on food at the market, £200 to spend on drink, a VIP table and queue jump, a hotel stay in 44 Renshaw Aparthotel for four people, a round of boozy tango Ice Blasts and hungover Sunday cocktails from Press Bros.

Entries are open over on Baltic Market’s Instagram page where guests need to like the post, tag three people they’d like to share the prize with, and for a bonus entry, guests can share the post to their story.

Oliver Press, co-founder of Baltic Market, said: “We’ve been on an incredible journey with the market over the last six years and we’re really excited to be celebrating six amazing years.

“During that time, we’ve welcomed over 150 independent traders and have been so proud to see where their concepts have taken them after being a part of the market.”
