Bathgate MD one of a trio of new Professional Liverpool board members

Gordon Andrews joins Grant Thornton’s Emma Stoddart and Phil Adams of Langtons on the board with Jim Gill, Andrew Lovelady and MSIF’s Lisa Greenhalgh all stepping down

Bathgate Business Finance managing director, Gordon Andrews, is to join the board of directors at membership and lobbying organisation Professional Liverpool (PL).

The appointment was announced at the AGM of PL, which represents, promotes and supports the professional and business services sector in the Liverpool city region. Gordon was selected alongside Emma Stoddart of Grant Thornton and Phil Adams of Langtons, who will also take on the roles of company secretary and treasurer.

The tro join the board as chairman, Jim Gill and treasurer, Andrew Lovelady step down after seven and 12 years respectively, along with Lisa Greenhalgh of MSIF who has come to the end of her maximum six-year term on the board.

Gordon said: “I am delighted to have been invited to join the Professional Liverpool board at such an exciting time for the city region. It is a superb organisation with an extensive and influential network that I have been lucky to be a part of for a number of years now.

The organisation is where it is today thanks to the colleagues who run the business on a day-to-day basis and the direction provided by its current and outgoing board members. We can only thank them for their hard work over the years and seek to build on those strong foundations.

I hope that my experience and connections will enhance the work that has already been done to bring the Liverpool city region business community closer together and help Professional Liverpool and its members continue to thrive.”
