Accountancy firm expanded its Temple Street base last year and now employs 250 people in the city centre – it’s second office at One Tithebarn will open in October. Tony McDonough reports
Accountancy firm BDO is opening a second office in Liverpool city centre creating space for an additional 150 staff.
Just 18 months ago the firm took an additional 5,500 sq ft at its Temple Street base, taking the total accommodation up to 17,085 sq ft. Now employing 250 people in the city, BDO is keen to recruit more at its new office at One Tithebarn with takes its total office space to 25,000 sq ft.
It moves into the building, on the corner of Tithebarn Street and Old Hall Street, in October and says it has developed strong links with universities in the city and wider region to support recruitment as the business grows.
Ed Dwan, partner at BDO in the North West said: “The growth of the team in Liverpool is reflective of the successful year we’ve had as a firm. We announced a merger with Moore Stephens creating a larger and stronger business and we’ve seen strong organic growth in the region.

Nigel Britton, director at BDO, added: “This year alone, we’ve created more than 100 jobs and strengthened our links in the Liverpool region. Now we’ve set our sights on more ambitious targets and will continue to recruit the right team to help deliver this.
