Birkenhead is to host a live music event across several venues this coming weekend with everything from “swing music to Beatles tribute bands”.
Beer and Bands takes place in town centre venues including Gallaghers Pub, Hornblowers, The Stork, The Wine Lodge Birkenhead, The Lion and The Riverview from 2pm on Saturday, September 2.
They will be supplying a range of food throughout the day to keep hungry revellers going between bands.
And a number of Birkenhead’s cafes and sandwich shops, including Lunch & Judy, Vintage Fairy and Coffee Aroma, will be serving home-cooked food.
Beer and Bands organisers say there will be no charge to enter any of the venues.
Joseph Scarth, place shaping manager at Birkenhead First, said: “The whole team here at Birkenhead First are really looking forward to this event, whether you enjoy live music, a good beer or are just looking for a great day out then the Beer and Bands festival has something for you.”
Sue Gallagher, manager at Gallagher’s Pub, added “We are looking forward to supporting the event and are really excited by the prospect of inviting in patrons, new and old, from all over Wirral to enjoy great live music, fantastic beer and delicious food.
“Events like this bring a vibrancy to Birkenhead which we want Gallagher’s to be at the forefront of.”
