Bold Street Coffee is to open a second Liverpool outlet

Since it opened in 2010 Bold Street Coffee has become a Liverpool favourite and now it is to open a second venue across town in the city’s commercial district.

Owner GSG Hospitality will operate its new outlet in the The Plaza office building in St Paul’s Square. It forms part of a £3m refresh of the 350,000 sq ft building by owner Bruntwood Works. It was built in 1965 as the headquarters of the Littlewoods group.

As part of a wider reimagining of The Plaza, the hospitality group will open its first concept in the building in early February with a full restaurant and bar to follow in spring 2022.

Bold Street Coffee will be open 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday initially, with weekends opening up in the coming months. There will also be a full breakfast and brunch menu with dishes including buoys – a lightly-toasted brioche bun filled with the likes of scrambled egg, bacon, sausage patty or there’s vegan and vegetarian options available too.

Tasty Egg Boxes are on the menu including a No Carb Box, BSC Fry’s including classic and veggie, a wide selection of sandwiches and on toast options including eggs, mushrooms, avocado or salmon and eggs.

“Opening in the business district is really exciting for us; guests can come to BSC to work alongside enjoying their favourite coffee, or stop by for a grab and go sandwich on the way to their next meeting.”

Colin Forshaw, regional director of Bruntwood Works in Liverpool said: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming Bold Street Coffee to The Plaza and to see this exceptional ground floor experience take shape.”
