An £800,000 refurbishment project is underway at Burlington House in Waterloo.
Owner Bruntwood is undertaking the works, which include replacement of the existing steel single-glazed windows with new UPVC double glazed windows throughout.
The programme also includes a full external decoration of the 67,000 sq ft building, significant roof and insulation works and a number of wider upgrades to the estate, which is located on Crosby Road North, less than a mile from the Port of Liverpool.
Work is anticipated to continue until the beginning of next year.
Colin Forshaw, head of property at Bruntwood, said: “These works will have a really positive impact, not only on the aesthetic of the building, but also on the everyday user experience for our customers at Burlington House.
“By replacing the windows and upgrading the roof insulation, we are futureproofing the building by improving its energy efficiency and creating a more comfortable, temperate environment for the businesses based there.
“The size of this latest investment reflects our confidence that Burlington House, with its proximity to the docks and excellent transport links, will continue to attract businesses from across Sefton, the Liverpool City Region and beyond for years to come.”
