With National Coffee Week well underway, Fonseca’s Stanley Street has devised a suitability themed three-course menu to mark the occasion.
Until Sunday, May 10, the award winning restaurant will be offering a selection of coffee inspired dishes, ideal for both foodies and coffee-lovers alike.
Proprietor Candice Fonseca said:
“While National Coffee Week is the perfect excuse to sit back and relax with a perfectly roasted cup of coffee, we want to go that little bit further by offering an assortment of coffee infused dishes to our customers.
“With that in mind, our chefs have once again put their culinary skills to the test and have blended rich aromatic flavours into both sweet and savoury dishes to temp a range of palates.”
To begin their coffee-themed meal, guests will be served a starter of wood pigeon with peas a la Francaise and a rich café au lait veloute. Diners will then enjoy a main course of guajillo stew, which consists of slow cooked beef in a rich Andean coffee sauce, followed by the contemporary-classic dessert, espresso crème brulee.
Candice added:
“We hope that the trio of coffee dishes will allow people to make the most out of the national calendar event, which continues to grow in popularity year on year. By putting a foodie spin on it, we are able to add a new dimension and offer something different in true Fonseca’s style.
“As well as holding a passion for good food, we also take pride in our quality barista style hot beverages. In line with our other Fairtrade offerings, the coffee that we serve has been sourced from across the globe, then locally roasted to create artisan blends packed full of rich flavour.”
