A partner at Chester law firm Storrar Cowdry has been elected chair of the STEP Cheshire, the local branch of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Louise Eccleston qualified as a Solicitor in 1993 but qualified as a member of STEP in 1999. She has served as secretary and then vice-chair on the committee for STEP Cheshire since it was founded in 2010/
Ms Eccleston has worked in Chester since 1996, joining Storrar Cowdry Solicitors in the summer of 2013 from Walker Smith Way.
She advises clients in relation to their wills, the administration of both straightforward and complex estates, complex inheritance tax planning (including those with business and agricultural property) and Court of Protection matters.
She is a full member of STEP and also sits on the STEP national committee for members joining via the Qualified Practitioner route, marking some exam papers alongside this role.
