Cleaning products specialist takes new space in Wirral

Organica, which produces a wide range of biodegradable and non-hazardous cleaning products, agrees deal with Glenbrook for 22,505 sq ft industrial unit

Organica is moving into Glenbrook’s Wallasey industrial unit

Property development and investment company Glenbrook has signed up Organica UK to its newly refurbished industrial building on Dock Road, Wallasey.

Organica, which produces a wide range of biodegradable and non-hazardous cleaning products, has consolidated its operations from three buildings to one, taking the 22,505 sq ft unit on a 6.5-year lease at £95,000.

The company, which counts retailers including Marks & Spencers and Wilkinsons among its clients, has expanded to meet the increased demand from existing contracts and new contracts secured in the UK and overseas, some as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Richard Rees, investment director at Glenbrook, said: “We are pleased to have completed this letting only a week after finishing the refurbishment works and given the backdrop of COVID-19. It really does go to show that there is still good demand for refurbished industrial units in the North West.”

Located on a 1.09-acre site, the property is located in the Seacombe area of Wallasey on Dock Road which connects Birkenhead town centre to Junction 1 of the M53 motorway. The Wirral Waters Development and the East Float Dock runs parallel to Dock Road.

Mark Diaper, associate director at Legat Owen, joint agents for the scheme with LM6, added: “Despite the current challenges, the warehouse market is showing resilience with companies such as Organica seeing a significant upturn in demand for its goods.

“Organica is a success story for the region and we are pleased to provide them with a suitable facility in the same area to support their growth and to secure a tenant with an excellent covenant for our client.”
