Project Four Building Safety Experts (P4) says increased demand following the introduction of the Building Safety Act 2022 has driven up revenues.

P4, based on Liverpool waterfront with offices in Manchester, Leeds, and London, says revenues for the 12 months to May 31, 2025, had risen 53.6% to £4.35m. The company does not have to post full accounts so the profit figure is not available.

Chairman and founder Alan Robson says the growth is underpinned by the continued expansion of P4’s building safety consultancy offering, the strengthening of its technical team nationwide, and increasing repeat business from key clients across the UK.

Celebrating its ninth anniversary this year, P4 now has plans in motion to open a Birmingham office. Its three core areas are Building Safety Act consultancy, CDM consultancy, and site safety services.

It supports clients from project inception through the design, construction, and occupation stages of a building’s life cycle.

“We’ve become synonymous as a highly technical team in helping clients achieve Gateway 2 Approval,” said Alan. “We’ve also got a proven business model, strong client retention, and scalable service delivery. We’re well positioned for continued expansion and strategic investment too.”

In 2024, P4’s leadership team met with employees for a company-wide strategy session to set the firm’s key priorities for the year ahead.

These included quality of work, including dedicated time for internal peer review, upskilling the team through structured training and CPD, and improving infrastructure and systems to enhance efficiency and delivery standards.

Managing Director Max Meadows, who joined in 2017, added: “There’s a huge amount of work currently available in the building safety sector but our focus has never been on chasing volume — it’s on maintaining quality.

“We only take on projects where we know we can deliver to the standards our clients expect, and where our team has the time, support, and resources to perform at their best.”
