Bruntwood Works has secured four new lettings at the Cotton Exchange in Liverpool city centre.

They include a shipping business, a creative and digital agency, a hospitality training venture and an architects practice. Between them they are taking more than 3,500 sq ft of space.

International transportation business Genco Shipping & Trading has moved into a 1,050 sq ft office on the second floor.Creative and digital agency Kaleidoscope has expanded  its presence by agreeing a new 1,400 sq ft workspace on the sixth floor.

Hospitality training business Ways to Wow has chosen the building for its new office. It is joined by Ellis Williams Architects, which has agreed a deal for a 1,100 sq ft workspace in the Grade II-listed building on Bixteth Street.

Cotton Exchange is home to a community of SMEs. They have free access to Spark, a business support programme created by Bruntwood Works, and an onsite community team that supports and connects customers.

The building has a range of communal spaces such as The Old Hall and roof terrace. This offers events such as seasonal markets, wellbeing classes, advice clinics, networking events and celebrations such as the recent Jubilee lunch. It also features a number of meeting and breakout spaces.

It became the first UK workspace to be installed with an edible wall of fresh salad leaves using hydroponics technology, free for customers to eat. Bruntwood Works has also created a welcome space in the building’s reception area. This offers tea and coffee, free wifi and meeting spaces alongside two dedicated meeting rooms.

Tony Reed, head of commercial at Bruntwood Works, said: “The flexibility and range of workspaces on offer at the Cotton Exchange is reflected by the broad range of businesses that are joining us.

“They each operate successfully in a variety of sectors, from architecture to logistics, and each has the opportunity to enjoy and enrich the sense of community that thrives here.”
