Accountancy firm Cowgills continues its Liverpool expansion with the hiring of three new tax professionals. Tony McDonough reports
Accountancy firm Cowgills is adding three new professionals to its Liverpool tax team.
Paul Cresswell joins from Azets as a corporate tax manager and Antony Seddon arrives as a trust assistant tax manager, following a similar role at tax advisory firm Blick Rothenberg.
Making up the trio is Graham Bevan who joins from investment company Rathbones as tax manager. All three will work closely with Cowgills partner and head of tax, Lisa Wilson.
These latest appointments follow the arrival of tax director Sarah Salton earlier this year and Jason Gauthier who has joined as a senior tax transactions advisor from EY.
In December 2022 LBN reported that Cowgills was moving its Liverpool office little more than a year after establishing a base in the city centre.
It originally set up shop in 20 Chapel Street in 2021 with just four team members. Now that has grown to more than people across business recovery, tax and audit and accounts. The firm has taken 1,400 sq ft at Bruntwood’s Cotton Exchange.

Lisa Wilson said: “Our ethos has always been to deliver the best service that we can for our clients, and these most recent hires allow us to continue that work.
“They join at a really exciting time, just off the back of winning the prestigious Tolley’s Best Regional Tax Firm award, and we’re looking forward to achieving even greater success with them on-board.”
