Creative and digital entrepreneurs team up to showcase their creative edge

Liverpool’s digital and creative community showcased its unique creative edge to an audience of over 500 international delegates at the IFB2016 closing Gala Dinner on Thursday, 30th June.

Delegates were treated to the premiere of the ‘Creating on the Edge’ mini-documentary, and a series of creative portraits that celebrate our region’s creative and digital heroes was unveiled.

The collaboration is led by photography agency Sane Seven with the support of Mashbo, JUXDIT, Jack-All Productions and Creative Kitchen. The unique collection of images was shot on the roof of Liverpool’s iconic Liver Building.

In the documentary, some of our region’s brightest creative and digital entrepreneurs open up about their own personal wellbeing, mental health and the life-changing moments that drive them forwards in growing their businesses.

The collaboration includes leaders from Mocha, Draw & Code and the public sector. Kevin McManus, Head of Creative & Digital (Investment) at Invest Liverpool highlighted the need for the public sector to support the economic growth that creative and digital entrepreneurs can bring to the UK economy.

Sane Seven co-founder and creative director Viktorija Grigorjevaite told us:

“I love the community we have here in Liverpool – it’s like one big, growing creative family, with talent from all around the globe.

“We are a sector that is open for collaboration and doing things differently, and where ideas are allowed to flow.  The idea for Creating on the Edge started only a couple of weeks ago and we’re now showcasing it at one of the Europe’s largest businesses conferences.

“A lot of thanks has to go to Annie O’Toole from JUXDIT as she made the connections and helped to mobilise the project and the other collaborators.”
