Farm Shop & Deli Awards 2017

Following evaluation, deliberation, secret visits and mystery shops by a panel of industry experts and more than 3,000 consumer votes, this year’s awards held at Farm Shop & Deli Show at NEC Birmingham comprised 13 category winners and nine regional winners.

Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca said: “To have not only been handed the title of ‘Food Hall of the Year’, but to also represent Liverpool’s thriving food and drink scene by becoming the ‘North West Regional Winner’ is a great achievement for the team and I.

“As awards that champion the UK’s fine-food establishments, to have been selected from such a high volume and calibre of entrants is a real achievement in itself, never mind the added bonus of scooping two awards. Our victory not only helps to further the national recognition of our provision, but it also righteously puts the North West on the good food map.”

Now in their fourth year, the Farm Shop & Deli Awards recognises the best specialist independent retailers in the UK.

The awards celebrate the highest levels of service, product knowledge, initiative, innovation and community involvement.

Nigel Barden, Chairman of Judges and Food and Drink Journalist and Broadcaster said: “It’s a real privilege to acknowledge food and drink retailers of this quality and those looking after our online shopping requirements. These are passionate, enterprising, knowledgeable and diligent people. It’s been a tough, rigorous and rewarding process for our judges.”
