Delifonseca will be serving an exclusive Easter Sunday set menu for the first time following the success of Mother’s Day.
On Sunday April 5, the award-winning Dockside restaurant will mark the national holiday by offering a specially selected three-course menu that has been devised by head chef Martin Cooper.
Proprietor Candice Fonseca said:
“As Easter is predominantly a family orientated occasion, we’d like to encourage people to leave the cooking to us so that they can enjoy some quality time together.
“Easter should be a time for gatherings amongst loved ones and friends – not a time to be stuck in the kitchen!”
To begin their meal, diners can choose from a range of starters including baked figs stuffed with blacksticks blue and wrapped in Cheshire air-dried ham; chilli king prawns with samphire and pea, mint and courgette soup.
Main courses include Herdwick lamb rump served with boulangere potaotes, courgette and basil puree and a red wine jus; fish stew containing red mullet, king prawns, squid and ‘whatever else the boat brings in’, as well as mushrooms à la grecque served with a leek, lemon and thyme potato cake topped with melted mature cheddar and a crispy poached egg plus Sunday roasts for the traditionalists.
Those with a sweet tooth can then enjoy desserts such as Easter Sunday ice cream sundae; vanilla pannacotta served with fruit couli and apricot & pistachio Easter trifle.
Candice added:
“Whether guests prefer nostalgic Easter flavours or something a little more contemporary, our Easter Sunday menu is packed with unique foodie combinations that all of the family will enjoy. With that in mind, we’ve also created a suitably portioned menu for little ones.
“We hope that our inaugural Easter celebrations will be the first of many.”
The Easter menu is available at Delifonseca Dockside on Sunday April 5 from 12pm and is priced at £26.50 per person. Booking is essential and a non-refundable £5 deposit is required.
