Work is set to start on a £20m residential scheme in North Liverpool that will comprise 127 apartments and retail space.
Legacie Developments is the developer behind Azure Residence which will offer a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments. It will include a residents’ gym and 4,000 sq ft of commercial space.
Located at Rose Place, close to St Anne Street and on the outskirts of the city centre, the project will provide work for up to 100 people during the construction phase with completion due by December 2019.
There will also be 30 full-time administrative and service jobs created when the residential complex opens.
Azure Residence is the latest in a number of flagship developments changing the face of North Liverpool. The new Merseyside Police headquarters is expected to be located opposite the development on land between Scotland Road and St Anne Street.
A spokesperson for Legacie Developments said: “Azure Residence will deliver high quality apartment living, new retail and leisure opportunities. Above all, it will continue the transformation of the Scotland Road and St Anne Street area into a vibrant and thriving place to live.
“We very much see this development as an extension to Liverpool city centre and our target market will be people who want city centre living.”
Azure Residence is just the latest in a series of high profile residential projects by Legacie Developments, including Reliance House in Water Street and other residential schemes including the redevelopment of Dale Street shops.
Legacie is also currently developing Ropermaker Place in Renshaw Street.
