Developer of retirement, affordable and supported living schemes, Brantones, acquires two Liverpool businesses and unveils restructure. Tony McDonough reports

Owner and director of Brantones Group, Lee Birkett

Developer Brantones has announced a restructure of its business after acquiring two Liverpool firms.

Brantones, which is itself based in Liverpool, has bought Robwood Construction and Robwood Residential. Both ventures were owned by Kyriacos Zangoulos, a British Cypriot living in Cyprus.

Owner and director of Brantones, Lee Birkett, says the acquisitions will sit under the newly formed Brantones Group. This move will see the company broaden its services to capture refurbishment and other minor works.

Lee added this restructure will create a platform to embark on a “period of rapid growth” for the business which was created in 1990.

It has worked with some of the UK’s most prominent housing associations including First Choice Homes, Warrington Housing Association and Inclusion Housing. The developer also works on behalf of the NHS and various charitable organisations.

Brantones plans to look for more projects within Liverpool city region. Lee said: “It’s been a really exciting time for Brantones and we are delighted to welcome Robwood Construction and Robwood Residential into the fold.

“These acquisitions will allow the Brantones Group to expand our services, our customer base and our expertise to ensure we can continue to deliver the highest-quality affordable, caring and supported living solutions in the north west and beyond.

“We have a lot of great projects coming up in the pipeline and expect 2024 to be a great year for the Brantones Group.”
