North West Italian restaurant brand Dough Dough started serving customers at its first Liverpool site just before Christmas and is planning a 50% off launch weekend in January. Tony McDonough reports
Fast-growing Italian restaurant brand Dough Dough is planning a major launch event in January at its first Liverpool outlet.
Dough Dough began serving customers at the Ranelagh Street restaurant in the city centre just before Christmas. In January (weekend beginning January 15) it will host a launch weekend when it will offer 50% off pizzas and calzones.
This becomes the second Dough Dough site after the initial restaurant opened in Chester in 2019. The brand, which offers traditional Neapolitan pizzas cooked with Italian ingredients, is also on course to open two further sites, in Warrington and Derby, in 2021.
Founder of the Dough Dough brand, Des Pheby, says the launch is a bright spark at the end of a dismal year. He added: “We’re all ready for the end of this dreadful year and we’re seeing the opening of Dough Dough Liverpool as, hopefully, a turning point towards a better year in 2021.
Dough Dough has big plans for 2021 onwards, with the aim being to host events with live music, themed nights, cocktail and gin brunches and more. For now, the brand will be strictly adhering to the restrictions based on government guidelines.
Liverpool is currently under Tier 2 COVID-19 restrictions which means restaurants can remain open.
