No 1 Old Hall Street in Liverpool

Liverpool commercial landlord Downing is offering rent concessions to its ‘flexi-tenants’ at its Old Hall Street building to help during the coronavirus crisis..

Downing’s No 1 Old Hall Street building in the city’s commercial district is home to a number of small businesses and it is offering qualifying resident companies a significant rent reduction for May and June.

And they are also being offered access to unlimited free virtual yoga and Pilates classes seven days a week, helping to enable positive mental health and wellbeing among their staff.

The building remains open and ready for business, with normal services continuing as far as it reasonably possible, having regard to current Public Health England guidance and emerging industry wide safe working practices.

Downing has recently undertaken a refurbishment of No 1 Old Hall Street, including a new feature main entrance portal, along with a re-configured and expanded building reception, which features a new waiting area and concierge lobby, new male, female and accessible WCs, a shower area and an accessible lift.

John Clegg, head of property management at Downing, said: “It’s absolutely essential that commercial landlords step up and take action to support their tenants during this time of unprecedented challenges for business.

“We know that many businesses out there are on their knees, or may soon become so, without additional assistance. We have been working with the majority of our tenants for many years and have built strong relationships which are underpinned by mutual loyalty and trust which is now more important than ever. It’s critical that we all pull together and do what we can to ride this storm.
