Deal involves the transfer of the majority of Mazars’ Liverpool audit clients and staff, including audit directors Neil Kelly and Angela Harrison to DSG
Liverpool accountancy firm DSG has completed the transfer of international accounting firm Mazars’ Liverpool audit practice, in a transaction which boosts its audit team to 31.
The deal involves the transfer of the majority of Mazars’ Liverpool audit clients and staff, including audit directors Neil Kelly and Angela Harrison. DSG is also looking to expand its operations in Liverpool, with a planned office move scheduled for early 2020.
DSG has continued to invest in its team in recent months, following a series of promotions. In October, its announced the promotion of four of its corporate business team members, while Mark Kearsley was also promoted to tax director.
Tony Bayliss, senior partner at DSG, said: “This is an excellent transaction for DSG and enhances the firm’s reputation in the local marketplace, as well as providing a foundation for future growth. Given the strength of the existing DSG audit offering, we were considered to be a natural fit, and we are confident that this represents a great outcome for both the clients and staff transferring over.
“We look forward to welcoming the new team and will work closely with Neil and Angela to ensure clients are transitioned smoothly and that excellent client service levels are maintained.”
