Based in Liverpool and Chester, DTM Legal has unveiled a number of promotions and appointments, including a new head of its Liverpool office. Tony McDonough reports
Law firm DTM Legal has appointed Kate Roberts to be the head of its Liverpool office.
DTM, which has offices in Liverpool and Chester, says the promotion is one of a number of new senior appointments at the practice. They include Richard Harris and Tom Evans who step up to become partners.
Ms Roberts will be responsible for driving the growth of the Liverpool operation further and developing the team and client base across the city region. She said: “I am really looking forward to the challenge and the road ahead. It is exciting times at DTM Legal.”
DTM partner Jim Morris said of her elevation: “We are delighted Kate has taken up the mantle of head of Liverpool. She has great energy and drive and the role will suit her tenacity. The timing is right to coincide with our expansion plans.”
A commercial litigator, Richard Harris is a key player in the Liverpool dispute resolution team and Tom Evans heads up the employment and HR team. Mr Morris added: “Richard and Tom provide the very highest standards of legal service to our clients.
“They have both assisted in the development and growth of not only the teams, but also the firm as a whole. They both have great futures ahead of them and we are delighted they are new partners.”
DTM has also made three new appointments. Heather Lally is a new senior associate in the trusts and estates department, Jonathan Partridge joins the commercial litigation team and paralegal Irena Jarkova joins the commercial property team.
Ms Lally is the recently elected chair of STEP Cheshire and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all matters relating to non-contentious private client work. She has particular expertise in statutory will applications, applying for limited Grants of Probate and succession planning for agricultural clients.
Mr Partridge has a wealth of dispute resolution experience advising insurers, lenders, SMEs and high net worth entrepreneurs and in providing business interruption services to business owners.
