In one of the largest lettings in Liverpool this year, solicitors Jackson & Canter have taken over 16,500 square feet in Walker House in Exchange Flags.
The law firm has signed a 13-year lease, relocating its head office to Walker House, one of two buildings at the 450,000 square foot landmark office complex in the city centre.
In addition, recruitment agency Bluefire Consulting Ltd has committed to a new six year lease in a 4,125 square foot suite at Horton House.
Located in the centre of Liverpool, between the traditional business district on Castle Street and the new business district on Old Hall Street, Exchange Flags has been refurbished in two phases; with Horton House completing in 2007 and Walker House in 2009 and is home to tenants including Brabners, Deloitte, Regus and Blankstone Sington.
The owners of the building are in the process of creating a range of high quality, boutique-style office suites in Walker House that will cater for requirements from around 1,000 square feet upwards. These will be ready for occupation in January 2015. In total, the building can accommodate requirements up to 100,000 square feet.
Mark Worthington, who advised Jackson & Canter, commented:
“After a search process which lasted almost two years and had several twists and turns, I am delighted that Jackson & Canter have committed to Walker House and created a stunning, contemporary headquarters that I think will really help them take their business forward.”
Andrew Holroyd, CEO of Jackson & Canter, commented:
“Exchange Flags was able to offer us a flexible property solution that has enabled us to radically upgrade our offices and get everyone onto one floor. We are absolutely delighted with the offices and pleased we decided to relocate, plus we are delighted with the excellent support offered by CBRE throughout the whole process.”
CBRE and Keppie Massie are the joint letting agents.
