Low-cost airline easyJet announces new routes to three new European destinations from Liverpool John Lennon Airport taking off later this year. Tony McDonough reports
Low-cost airline easyJet is adding further routes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) adding three new destinations from autumn 2025.
This is the latest in a number of new easyJet routes being launched from LJLA by easyJet after the carrier placed its eighth aircraft here. This new plane will support 400 jobs and cements easyJet’s position as the biggest airline at Liverpool.
On November 13, easyJet will begin three weekly return flights to the Austrian capital Vienna. Liverpool to Krakow in Poland will operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays from November 3 and flights to Almeria in southern Spain will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays from October 28.
These latest routes are part of a wider announcement from easyJet of 22 new routes from 12 UK airports for the winter season. One of the airline’s latest routes from Liverpool took off for the first time last week to Split, the largest city on the Croatian coast.
