Ticketmaster brings ‘advanced technology’ to Everton FC as fans await news on the future of long-time chairman Bill Kenwright. Tony McDonough reports
Everton FC has announced a new partnership with ticketing specialist Ticketmaster ahead of the move to its new stadium at Bramley Moore-Dock.
Ticketmaster is now the club’s official ‘ticketing innovation partner’. From the start of the forthcoming season Evertonians will benefit from Ticketmaster’s “advanced technology” when purchasing tickets on evertonfc.com
This includes 3D Virtual Venue, an innovation that will bring Goodison – and later Everton Stadium – to life and “enhance the user experience” when purchasing tickets and selecting seats for the match.
Ticketmaster has previously supported Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur with stadium moves. Everton aim to move out of Goodison Park and into their new home during the 2024/24 season.
However, Blues fans are still awaiting news on the fate of chairman Bill Kenwright. On Monday at 5pm the club announced the departure of chief executive Denise Barrett-Baxendale along with directors Graeme Sharp and Grant Ingles.
It added that a statement about the future of chairman Bill Kenwright would be released “in the next 48 hours”. However, that deadline has long since passed with no word from the club.
On Tuesday a supporters protest group – #AllTogetherNow – issued a statement. It said: “We are still a club left rudderless and without clear leadership. We call for the immediate removal of the chairman of this football club, who has been the most unsuccessful chairman in our history.
“Take action now, remove the chairman and let this once great football club start to heal, rebuild and look forward to a new future.”
Speaking about the Ticketmaster deal, Richard Kenyon, chief commercial and communications Officer at Everton, said: “We are excited about this new partnership with Ticketmaster and the benefits it will provide to our supporters.
“As we get closer to the move to our new stadium, it is important that we work with a partner with experience in stadium moves and a commitment to future innovation for the club and our fans.”

Supporters will be able to access the updated ticketing platform on evertonfc.com from Wednesday, June 21. There is no requirement for Evertonians with a supporter number to do anything as access details to all fan ticketing accounts will remain unchanged.
The upgrades to the new platform, offering further digital innovation and enhanced flexibility, will mean supporters will not be able to access their ticketing accounts from Thursday, June 15.
