Liverpool architectural practice Falconer Chester Hall (FCH) has announced two senior promotions after securing a number of new projects and has taken on 13 new starters.
Tom McTernan and Paschal Riley both become senior architects. Mr McTernan joined FCH in 2020 and has been leading on Poets Corner, Clegg Street, Liverpool for Caro Developments. He is also heading up one of the phases on Thornton Park, Clapham Common, London for Henry Construction.
Mr Riley joined the firm back in 2014 and has recently focused his attention on leading Richmond Royal Hospital, Richmond, London for Henry Construction.
The spurt in activity since the end of lockdown has prompted appointments across the firm’s Liverpool, Manchester and London studios with 13 new employees confirmed in the third quarter alongside the two senior promotions.
New social housing schemes in Warrington, a mixed-use development in Manchester for Northern Group, a significant apartment building in Liverpool for Legacie Developments and two hotels in central London for The Other House are among the new projects secured by the firm in the last quarter.
Director Alastair Shepherd said: “The new client wins reflects our resilience throughout the pandemic and the team spirit that is embedded in FCH. Staff reward and retention remain a top priority and we are pleased to be able to offer the senior promotions to recognise the talent we have in our team.
“As well as the new commissions, we must note the projects that continued throughout the last 15 months, including India Buildings and Municipal Buildings in Liverpool and work continued nationally with Watkin Jones. We are delighted with our progress and the future is looking extremely positive.”
