Haydock 60 will be occupied by Pyroguard

Global safety glass specialist Pyroguard expanding its manufacturing operation in Merseyside by agreeing a 10-year lease on a new 62,416 sq ft facility with new jobs in the pipeline.

Pyroguard makes fire-resistant safety glass and its products are used in property developments all over the world including Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. It is a division of the Technical Fire Safety Group.

It has agreed a deal to occupy Haydock 60, a £3m development at Haydock Business Park, with CBRE, acting for Caisson Investment Management which represents the landlord of the property, PATRIZIA.

With customers in 30 countries, Pyroguard is currently expanding into Italy, part of a wider plan to further strengthen the group’s European presence. The new letting is in addition to its existing premises adjacent to Haydock 60.

Neil Tilsley, chief executive of Pyroguard, said: “The relocation of our second UK-based factory to this brand new facility forms a significant investment for us and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the growth and ongoing success of the Pyroguard Group.

“Haydock 60 has equipped us with greater production capacity to provide a best in class service to our customers, whilst also bringing additional job opportunities to the surrounding local areas as we continue to grow our team.”

Darren Hill at CBRE secured the letting on behalf of Caisson, with B8 Real Estate and Davies Harrison acting as joint agents. Pyroguard UK was represented by David Newman from Matthews & Goodman.

James Ward at Caisson added: “The unit was speculatively constructed with the aim of filling a gap in much-needed supply of modern new build units in prime locations such as this.

“The decision to speculatively construct this unit has not only been rewarded by the speedy letting to Pyroguard, but has also transformed the entrance to Haydock Industrial Estate, having replaced two smaller, second-hand units which were demolished to make way for the new facility.”
