A multi-million pound Liverpool city region housing project, comprising 36 new homes, welcomes its first tenants. Tony McDonough reports
Livv Housing Group has welcomed the first tenants to its latest multi-million pound housing development.
Knowsley-based Livv has delivered Ash Grove in Prescot, comprising 36 new homes for affordable rent and handed over keys to the first occupants. Affordable rent means no more than 80% of the local market rate.
This development features a mix of semi-detached and terraced homes, including 10 two-bedroom apartments, 10 two-bedroom houses, 14 three-bedroom houses and two four-bedroom houses.
Three new roads – Eden Way, Fielding Court and Gladewood Gardens – have been created. Prescot town centre, schools, Whiston Hospital and Prescot train station are all within walking distance.
Built on former grassland, the Ash Grove development has transformed the area into a new neighbourhood. Customers have already begun moving in. Yvonne Westhead-Fyles, director of development at Livv, said: “Ash Grove is a new community built to last.
“This thoughtfully designed development not only addresses the need for more affordable housing in Prescot, but offers a diverse mix of homes which sees families, couples and professionals alike live side by side in a new neighbourhood.
“Ash Grove is a great example of how we’re regenerating underused land to build safe, inclusive and welcoming places where local people can truly thrive.
“We’re incredibly proud to see this project come to fruition – it’s a testament to the hard work, dedication and resilience of everyone involved.”

The development was completed in partnership with Liverpool-based contractor Quinn Developments NW, with grant funding support from Homes England.
Peter Quinn, managing director at Quinn Developments NW, added: “Collaborating closely with the client has been key to project success, and it’s rewarding to see residents already moving into their new homes.
“As a local contractor, we’re especially pleased to have played a part in providing much-needed, high-quality housing for the Prescot community.”
