Flybe introduces Liverpool to Belfast flights

Flybe has confirmed they will be adding flights between Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Belfast City airport from February 2015.

From 2nd February 2015, Flybe will offer a year-round service comprised of three daily flights on weekdays in each direction, and a single service on Saturdays and Sundays.

The regional carrier will face competition from Easyjet, who operate their own flights between Liverpool and Belfast though Easyjet’s flights are to Belfast International airport.

Flybe’s chief commerical officer Paul Simmons said:

“Flybe has, over the last 12 months, undergone a significant overhaul of the business.

“This has resulted in a more cost-effective, efficient and flexible operation, enabling us to increase the number of routes we can offer to better serve the travelling needs of both our business and leisure customers.”

Director of air service development for Liverpool John Lennon airport, Mark Povall said:

“We know that demand for this service to Belfast City is strong and we will also continue to look at further opportunities for Flybe to serve the Liverpool city region.”
