Salt Dog Slim’s in Liverpool is celebrating 10 years

Liverpool city centre bar Salt Dog Slim’s is celebrating its 10th birthday this week and is offering free drinks to its guests.

Opening in 2012, Salt Dog Slim’s took over a derelict site in Seel Street and since then, more than 4,000 kegs, 300,000 shots of Jagermeister and nearly half a million cocktails have been sold.

To mark its first decade the venue is holding a birthday bash on Thursday, May 12, from 4pm to 2am. Tickets to the event are free and can be booked by clicking here. There will be free drinks, DJs, cake, Salt Dog Slim’s 10th birthday t-shirts, Salt Dog Slim’s tattoos, confetti canons and a new wall to sign.

There will also be a Salt Dog Slim’s “biggest ever” hot dog eating competition. This will take place during the party and those wanting to enter will take on the challenge of – four hot dogs, one stein and one Jagermeister shot. The fastest eater wins (with vegan and vegetarian options available).

Famous for steins, brines and good times, this dive bar has become a staple in Liverpool and we’re so grateful to all of our guests that have visited us over the last 10 years! Salt Dogs wouldn’t be the place it is without you all.”
