Global engine products manufacturer Cataclean expands its footprint in Liverpool with the acquisition of a new site totalling almost 12,000 sq ft. Tony McDonough reports
Global engine products manufacturer Cataclean has expanded its local footprint with the acquisition of new premises close to Liverpool’s northern docklands.
Cataclean, which produces a range of patented fuel and exhaust engine cleaners, already owns and occupies premises in a building in Wellington Employment Park and has now expanded its footprint at the Dunes Way site by 11,836 sq ft.
This building is located in an established industrial area in the city’s docklands, a short distance from Everton FC’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Agents at commercial property specialist Keppie Massie were tasked with identifying the property’s availability and negotiating purchase terms before it came to the market.
Zach Baigent, director at Cataclean, said: “We are delighted to have secured these new premises, which provide the ideal platform for Cataclean’s continued growth.
“Having developed a strong, long standing relationship with Tim Garnett at Keppie Massie, we had been actively seeking the right property to support our expansion plans.
“Once this opportunity became available, the transaction was completed quickly and efficiently, allowing us to minimise disruption and focus on the next stage of our growth. This move marks an exciting new chapter for the business.”
Tim Garnett added that demand for well-located industrial accommodation across Liverpool city region continues to outstrip supply, so opportunities like this are “increasingly rare”.
He also said: “We’re happy to have helped Cataclean acquire premises that not only meets its immediate operational requirements but also provides capacity for growth.

“This acquisition demonstrates the value of being proactive in the market. By identifying the opportunity before it was openly marketed, we were able to secure the property on behalf of our client and avoid the level of competition that quality industrial space now attracts.
“Having detailed market knowledge and close relationships with owners and occupiers can give clients a genuine competitive advantage by uncovering off-market opportunities.”
