14 contestants entered the competition, which was judged by writer and columnist Jade Wright, and Chef Sean Paul.
There was also a people’s vote on the day, which was won by Rachel Brooks from Concept 22 with her ‘Valentines drip cake.’
John Lowe, managing director at Bolland & Lowe, said: “We decided to host this event to raise awareness to Ronald McDonald House as this is an independent charity in Liverpool supporting parents at a time when they need it most when their children are seriously ill. Valentines Day for us is the perfect day to celebrate and raise money for ‘The House that Love built’.”
The event raised £400 for Ronald McDonald House.
