Hard Days Night Hotel awake on market for £11m

The Beatles-inspired Hard Days Night Hotel of Liverpool city centre is up on the market for £11m.

The doors were opened in 2008 during the city’s reign as European Capital of Culture and has been to the market by commercial property company CBRE, on behalf of its undisclosed private owner.

The company describes the Hard Days Night as having firmly established itself as one of the leisure sector’s most in-demand luxury hotel, owing to its ideal location in Liverpool’s Cavern Quarter.

The boutique hotel is situated on the corner of North John Street and the world famous Mathew Street.

This is where the new Cavern Club is located, close to where the original Cavern Club, birthplace of the legendary Beatles, once was.

Two years ago the hotel was left counting the cost of a massive blaze which sent couples’ Valentine’s Day plans up in smoke, with fire raging for hours through its top floor before firefighters brought it under control.

The 110 bedroom, four-star hotel resides within the redeveloped Grade II listed Central Buildings, which was designed by Thomas C Clarke and completed in 1884.

The only Beatles-inspired hotel in the world, it is named after their film, album and song and features exclusive Beatles artwork by world renowned artists throughout.

Along the grand central staircase from the basement to the roof of the hotel, guests will find photographs from the early 60s until present day, this is often considered one of the hotel’s most spectacular features.

The hotel has numerous bars and restaurants and is one of the North West’s premium business and leisure hotels making it a truly unique location for conferences, meetings and events including weddings.

This is on top of the 110 luxury rooms, including the famed Lennon and McCartney suites.

CBRE director Shaun Skidmore said:

“In bringing the Hard Days Night Hotel to market, we are offering a unique opportunity to acquire not only a culturally significant property but a hugely successful, luxury hotel with an international client base in the best location within one of the UK’s most popular cities.

“This landmark building plays a key role in sustaining the city’s burgeoning reputation as a major tourist destination within the UK. We are incredibly excited to start entering into discussions with interested parties.”
