Property consultancy CBRE has secured the sale of the freehold of RSL Property Management’s investment in Castle Street to Manchester-based HS Property Group. Tony McDonough reports

Commercial building in Castle Street, housing Mowgli, sells for £4.5m

 

A building housing well-know Liverpool restaurants including Mowgli and Santa Maluco has changed hands for £4.5m.

Property consultancy CBRE has secured the sale of the freehold of RSL Property Management’s investment in Castle Street to Manchester-based HS Property Group. The building, which provides annual rent of £293,000, is opposite Liverpool Town Hall.

Upper floors of the Grade II-listed building, which comprises 16,748 sq ft, are let to Istay Liverpool, an expanding boutique aparthotel operator with six schemes across the city centre.

Nick Huddleston associate director within CBRE’s Manchester OPRE team, said: “The building offers a multi let, long term income stream in the heart of the city which continues to evolve as the one of the Liverpool’s main premium bar restaurant and leisure locations.

“Investors across the North West continue to look for well-located leisure investment opportunities with long term income profiles.’’
