Audiences are certain to get a sugar rush at this year’s Vogue Ball and excitement continues to grow as the event approaches. House of Suarez’s 6th annual explosion of deliciousness comes to Liverpool on Saturday 10 October.
Returning for 2015 to popular venue Camp and Furnace, located in Liverpool’s Baltic Quarter, this year’s event promises to tantalise the taste buds.
Last year’s ‘Space Oddity’ Vogue Ball took guests to another dimension on an Intergalactic expedition and unearthed extra-terrestrial beings and space crusaders, which proved to be a huge success.
For 2015, the theme is The Sugar Ball, and organisers are delighted to announce this year’s key event sponsors who will see the event deliver an evening of over indulgence, full of moreish visual delights on the biggest scale to date.
Sponsors on-board so far are Akademix Dance Company; Alice Anastasiou Wine Guru; Arts Council; MDI; Mode; Morecrofts; Puschka; Rare Studio; Sane Seven; Seen Liverpool; The Lisbon; and Voodou.
Darren Suarez, Artistic Director of House of Suarez, commented:
“I am really excited for this year’s Vogue Ball, the rehearsals are well under way and the pieces are already looking amazing! It will also be great to take this year’s ball back to Camp and Furnace, it is such a great space and a favourite venue of Vogue Ball audiences and performers. I want to say a big thank you to our incredible team of sponsors who have come on board, if it wasn’t for them growing the event each year would not be possible.”
Now an international sensation, the multi-award winning House of Suarez Vogue Ball is a dance event like no other in the UK – where club culture meets high art. The Sugar Ball will also see the return of host with the most, Rikki Beadle-Blair who admits it’s his favourite event of the year.
Vogueing often imitates the perfect lines and flexibility of model poses seen in magazines such as Vogue, the fashion magazine from which the dance style took its name.
The race is now on to find the best Vogue teams [known as ‘Houses’] battle it out in a fight for ultimate dance supremacy. Last year’s event saw a record number of ‘Houses’ participating. Already confirmed for the 2015 Vogue Sugar Ball are House of Cards, House of Rare and House of LIPA. This year, organisers also welcome back the House of Shoqlat from the Netherlands.
This year it’s all about over indulgence; sugar and spice and all things nice! Or will it be more of a case of naughty but nice? Either way audiences will witness all things fierce and fabulous with plenty of tantalising sweet treats and surprises thrown in from House of Suarez.
