Liverpool property auction house Sutton Kersh has generated more than £8.3m in sales from its latest online event.

The firm held its first live-streamed auction in early summer with bidders and viewers logging on from across the UK. This latest live-streamed event saw 350 register to bid and was once again watched by hundreds of people throughout the country.

A total of 76 properties were sold, brining the total number sold this year by Sutton Kersh across five auctions to 377 properties, generating £37.5m. More than £3.9m in sales occurred prior to the auction.

Associate director Cathy Holt said: “It was great to see so many lots selling for above their guide price, such as lot 7 which sold for £30,000 over its guide price, along with many other lots seeing strong bidding wars too. We have so far sold 80% of Lots offered, with more being sold post auction.”

Other highlights of the auction include; lot 8, a three-storey mid terraced property in Bootle which has been converted into three self-contained flats, which sold for £138,000, a huge £38,000 over the guide. Lot 27, a vacant two-bed on Hawkins Street in the L6 area, had a guide price of £40,000 and sold for £73,000.

A sizeable four-bedroom semi detached property in Torquay, Devon, was exceptionally popular with bidders. It had a guide price of £235,000 and sold for £307,500. Ms Holt added: “Demand is still high for properties throughout the country, especially in Liverpool and on the South Coast.

“The Croft in Paignton in Devon is a fantastic example of this. This beautiful three-bedroom bungalow sold for £370,000 which was £30,000 over its guide price.”

Sutton Kersh’s next auction will take place on Thursday, October 22, and it is currently taking instructions for this event.
