KFC opens two new outlets in Liverpool city region, creating 58 new jobs, as part of a £1.5bn UK and Ireland expansion drive. Tony McDonough reports
Fast food giant KFC has opened two new Merseyside outlets, one in Crosby and one in Heswall, creating 58 new jobs.
They join 16 other KFC restaurants across the city region. In September a new outlet opened in Moreton in Wirral, creating 40 jobs. These openings are part of a £1.5bn UK and Ireland expansion drive by the company.
There are 28 jobs being created in Crosby while the Heswall branch will employ 30 people. They are fitted with the latest KFC restaurant design and each feature 40 seats for customers choosing to eat in, as well as five digital ordering kiosks.
There will also be dedicated waiting areas for delivery drivers, with delivery available from day one via Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
Teams from Crosby and Heswall will take part in daily litter picks to keep the local community clean and tidy.
Both restaurants will also be actively involved in KFC’s food donation programme, which ensures surplus food is redistributed to people in need across Merseyside via FareShare. They are franchised outlets being operated by Soul Foods.
