Knowsley Chamber of Commerce has announced the appointment of Lyndsay Stanistreet-Tyer, a high-profile figure the in local hotel sector, as its new business relationship manager.
Lyndsay joins the chamber from Suites Hotel & Spa in Knowsley, where she has worked as the general manager for more than eight years. She has previously held executive posts both in the UK and overseas in a 35-year business career.
In an interview earlier this year, Lyndsay spoke about how Suites had weathered the storm of the pandemic. She said: “At one point we had to put our whole team on furlough. It was a really difficult and emotional time.”
She is joining the chamber to help grow and retain membership, help develop the calendar of activities and support the wider Knowsley business network. Her expertise in business relationship management will give the chamber a stronger support offering to existing and new members.
Prior to her role at The Suites Hotel, Lyndsay worked for Betfred in Gibraltar, within their marketing team, and as international sales director with Rio Drinks NL, in Spain. It was Lyndsey’s family who originally owned Suites Hotel, previously called The Bell Tower.
Lesley Martin-Wright, chief executive of Knowsley Chamber, said: “We are really looking forward to having Lyndsay in the team. Anyone who has stayed at the Suites or attended a business event in the hotel will know Lyndsay.
“The Suites is an iconic hotel in Knowsley and Lyndsay has been the driving force behind its growth and success over the past eight years. Her experience in building and maintaining good business relationships will complement the existing expertise we have in the chamber team.”
Knowsley Chamber has welcomed nine businesses as members over the past two weeks. They include Apollo Sports CIC; Homesure UK; MJS Joinery; North Mersey Business Centre; AFC Knowsley CIC; The Potter Group; Maggie O’Neil Community Resource Centre; Simple Heating; and Huyton Asphalt/HA Civils.
