Accountancy giant KPMG has renewed its lease at Liverpool’s Princes Dock, signing a five-year lease on the 12,000 sq ft space.
KPMG is the longest standing tenant at Princes Dock, part of Peel’s Liverpool Waters, and has been resident at the five-storey No 8 Princes Dock since 1997.
The firm joins a string of companies who have either recently renewed or secured new office space at the location which overlooks the River Mersey and the city’s cruise liner terminal.
The news of KPMG’s extended stay at Princes Dock follows an announcement that Euan West will succeed partner Chris Fry as office senior partner from January 1.
The company has also made a number of promotions and new hires in the North West, with 80 new graduates, eight school leavers and 35 apprentices joining the business.
Mr Fry said: “KPMG has had a presence in Liverpool for more than 90 years so I’m delighted to reaffirm our commitment to the region with the renewal of the lease at our Princes Dock home.
“Over the two decades that we’ve been at Liverpool Waters, we’ve seen the area grow into a vibrant and diverse business community.”
Liza Marco, asset manager at Liverpool Waters, added: “This lease renewal is not just good news for Liverpool Waters, it’s fantastic for the city region, too.”
