Leading Liverpool law firm Morecrofts is seeking a new charity partner for the next 12 months.

And charities looking to be the beneficiary of its fundraising efforts have until the end of this week to get in their application to the city centre practice. Every year Morecrofts staff raise money for charity through a variety of events and activities.

The firm is renowned for its wide range of community engagement and received the Work in the Community award at last year’s Liverpool Law Society Awards.

Each year Morecrofts appoints a specific charity partner, voted for by members of staff. The most recent charity partner was the For Ava Foundation, for which the firm has raised more than £25,000 during a two-year period.

Alison Lobb, managing partner at Morecrofts, said: “We are passionate about supporting our communities, so it’s important to us that the organisation has an impact on local people.

Every year we support our charity partner through all manner of activities such as raffles, dress down days or sponsored events, as well as through our prestigious Merseyside Independent Business Awards.

We don’t simply aspire to raise funds for our chosen charities, we like to help raise their profiles, improve their professional networks or find any other ways to support their specific development objectives.”

Charities who wish to apply for this year’s partnership must be based in the Liverpool city region and have a direct impact on people who live in Merseyside. The partnership period will run from April 1, 2020.

Morecrofts is particularly keen to hear from lesser known charities who would benefit from the additional profile this partnership brings, as well as the funds raised.

Deadline is 5pm on Friday, February 21. Click here to apply
