New venue, which is expected to open in the spring, will be located in Cotton House in Old Hall Street which already includes a branch of coffee chain Starbucks.
The owners of the Leaf and Oh Me Oh My venues in Liverpool are to open a third outlet in the city’s commercial district.
Cotton House in Old Hall Street will be home to the new food and drink venue, which is expected to open in the spring.
Building owner Bruntwood is creating a new space on the ground floor to include a bar, restaurant and events space as well as a large outdoor seating area.
Coffee chain Starbucks is already trading out of another ground floor unit.
No name has yet been given to the new venue, but it is expected to feature elements of the successful Leaf on Bold Street and Oh Me Oh My, which is based at West Africa House i Water Street.
Natalie Haywood, managing director at Leaf, said: “We are delighted to be working with Bruntwood again on another beautiful and historic space.
“We’re really excited about joining the community at the Cotton Exchange and look forward to launching our newest food and drink offer in spring 2017.”
Colin Forshaw, head of property at Bruntwood, added: “Natalie and her team have done amazing things with Leaf and Oh Me Oh My and once again they’ve been able to identify a gap in the market and an ideal location for what they offer.
“Their planned arrival is a really exciting addition to Cotton House and complements perfectly the work we’ve done over the last few years to enhance the entire Cotton Quarter.
“The commercial district is growing its leisure economy and it’s crucial that we keep giving people more reasons to spend time here beyond the working day.”
