Merseyside’s Leasowe Castle is set to play host to a Murder Mystery event ‘with a difference’.
From 7.30pm on Friday, May 26, the castle, located on Wirral Peninsula, will be taken back to the 1960s as part of its ‘Murder in Motown’ event, which will welcome guest detectives from across the North West to solve a curious crime.
In collaboration with DBY Interactive, the evening will provide a selection of ‘whodunnit’ clues alongside a three-course meal, live Motown performances and a DJ.
General Manager at Leasowe Castle Mike Dewey said: “Our story begins with Ruby, who is set for stardom in the Motown world. She has found that her fame has instilled rivalry and jealousy amongst the mystery’s cunning characters – setting the prime scene and the perfect motive for a very enigmatic event. Leasowe Castle’s guest detectives will piece together clever clues in the form of cryptic film footage and will be given the chance to play investigator in their very own interrogation section to find out who committed the ‘Murder in Motown’.
“The highly-interactive show will also feature a selection of Motown classics performed by an all-singing, all-dancing acting cast alongside a delicious three-course dinner lovingly prepared by our talented chefs. The evening will conclude with a live DJ, allowing guests to dance the night away safe in the knowledge that the mysterious ‘Motown’ case has been closed.”
For starters, guests can enjoy honey roasted carrot & coriander soup followed by a choice of mains including roast chicken breast with fondant potato, mushroom & lentil stuffing, seasonal greens or mushroom risotto served with parmesan crisp & truffle oil. Desserts include warm chocolate brownie served with honeycomb crumb & vanilla ice cream.
Mike added: “Those looking to further the merriments of our ‘Murder in Motown’ event can enjoy an exclusive accommodation package, which includes an overnight stay in one of our recently-refurbished bedrooms followed by breakfast at our in-house Brasserie 1593 the next morning.”
‘Murder in Motown’ is priced at £34.95 per person and includes a three-course meal. Event, accommodation and bed & breakfast is priced at £149.00 per couple.
