With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Leasowe Castle is preparing for a February full of romance.
The grand 16th century venue, which overlooks the Wirral coastline, has created an impressive seven-course meal devised with lavish dining amongst couples in mind, as part of an exclusive dine and stay package.
Available on Saturday, February 11 and Tuesday, February 14, the options will allow guests to ‘feel like king and queen of castle’ as they relax, unwind and relish in the hotel’s idyllic fairy-tale setting.
Operations Manager at Leasowe Castle Joseph Williamson said: “Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to spoil the ones you love, and what better way to do so than with a unique castle experience that certainly provides the wow-factor?
“As a venue that is filled with historic charm and plenty of character, it offers a refreshing change to a typical date night, as guests feel as though they have been whisked away to a place of pure enchantment.”
Served at the venue’s in-house fine dining restaurant The Star Chamber, the seven-course Valentine’s Evening Menu has been paired with Boutinot Wine House and consists of an amuse-bouche of watermelon, Thai basil and cherry tomato, a trio of lamb starter, followed by a fish course of pan fried scallops and octopus.
After cleansing the palate with a fruit sorbet, guests will enjoy a main of venison (served pink), truffle scented dauphinoise, rainbow carrots, baby turnips, cep mushroom with a juniper foam and rich pan jus. A pre-dessert of baby chocolate fondant with a salted caramel centre will be followed by caramelised pressed apple with apple semi-gel, macadamia and cobnut crumb. Coffee and petit fours will conclude the feast.
Couples wanting the full experience can enjoy a drink or two in the intimate Knight’s Cocktail Bar following their meal, before retreating to their recently refurbished luxury room and go on to enjoy breakfast in the morning.
Joseph added: “Whether couples are returning guests, such as brides and grooms who have tied the knot here with us, or are yet to experience what the castle has to offer, we are very much looking forward to welcoming new and familiar faces and providing them with a romantic location like no other.
“We hope that our duo of Valentine’s celebrations will go on to make a lasting impression, encourage couples to spend quality time together and fall in love all over again.”
The Valentine’s meal, bed and breakfast is priced at £250 on Saturday, February 11 and £220 on Tuesday, February 14.
The Valentine’s Evening Menu with wine for non-residents is priced at £75 per person.
