Liverpool-based leisure operator Big Fang Collective has unveiled a new chief executive and a multi-million pound plan to be in every major UK city by 2025.

Big Fang opened its first crazy golf concept, Ghetto Golf, in Liverpool in 2016. In 2022 private equity leisure investor IMBIBA ploughed £5m into the business and it was rebranded as Golf Fang.

As well as the original Liverpool site it now operates venues in Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow and Sheffield. And on September 29 it will launch another new concept in Liverpool called Big Fang Karaoke.

Guests will be able to step into a world of music, technology and nostalgia, all amid a neon-lit Tokyo city. It is described as a “sonic slam of music and machine”.

Now, with the appointment of Chris Morgan as chief executive, Big Fang intends to roll out “new experiential concepts” with six sites planned for the next two years. An opening in Nottingham is planned for early 2024.

Previously Chris held the role of managing director at Big Fang. He brings business development experience having worked across leisure, retail, healthcare and hospitality sectors, and most recently as a property and project consultant.

A number of other executives have also been taken on. They include new head of marketing, Jack Edge, and Morgane Pavier as head of sales.

“My vision is for Big Fang Collective to have a presence in every major UK city, where we will continue to regenerate urban spaces and create new and innovative experiential concepts,” said Chris.

Kip Piper, co-founder of Big Fang Collective, added: “Having previously been managing director from 2018, and with his experience as a property and project consultant, Chris is the perfect person to drive the business forward both in the UK and internationally.”
